Our contact improv group meets for jams at ASU’s Tempe campus, with occasional workshops led by contact improv teachers from across the country. Jam sessions and workshops are presented by Studio Chafé and hosted by Yeong Wen Lee, as a part of his MFA research in ASU’s Department of Dance.

March 28, 2010: Regular Sunday Jam, 10 a.m. – 12 noon @ ASU APMA.

April 10-11, 2010:  Contact Improv Workshop with Kristen Greco

Be sure to bring plenty of water and come on a relatively empty stomach (heavy meals not recommended within two hours before a jam). Wear loose-fitting clothing for play and bring light-impact kneepads if you have them, as you’ll be rolling on the floor a lot.

Also check out this regular Sunday jam at Fusion Movement Studio in North Scottsdale, 11 a.m – 2 p.m., with a workshop in the first hour and jam afterward.
