Summer Break

June 3, 2009

Our Phoenix/Tempe jam group will be taking a break this summer – with several of us traveling around the country and the world to dance.  In the meanwhile, your faithful website adminstrator, Sandra, has been busy losing her sleep, sight, and sanity editing videos for the SEEDS Festival at Earthdance.

You can see her work here:

SEEDS Boom:        http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WOmvoRyQq3E
SEEDS Dwell:         http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GGLTm7WAVPU

SEEDS (Somatic Experiments in Earth, Dance + Science) is an interdisciplinary arts and ecology festival that takes place at Earthdance, a contact improv retreat center in rural Western Mass.

Sandra was the festival’s head archivist (otherwise known as the craziest person in the world to agree to do this!).

Our Saturday jams have moved from the ASU Fine Arts Center to the ASU Performing & Media Arts Building at Rural and University.  Hooray, no more marley burns!  Now we get to do contact on wood floors and in front of mirrors (for those of us vain enough to admire ourselves on the dance floor).
